Glass Rail, our Glass Balustrade system, pairs perfectly with stainless steel, aluminium, brass, or PVC fitted handrail sleeves, although not required. Glass Rail offers a cantilevered glass balustrade, making it stand out on its own.
Glass Rail is specially designed with safety at the forefront: Toughened or laminated glass with multiple thicknesses are used depending on the situation to ensure that your glass balustrades will last and keep you safe.
Glass balustrade systems administer spectacular results by making the most of the view around. No balusters are required for this system, giving a seamless, frameless look that many balustrade systems do not offer. Glass balustrade can be used on the exterior or interior of a building and can be fitted with handrails on the top or side face. Due to their durability once combined with our handrail systems such as ‘Illumine’ our LED insert handrail and ‘Stargard’ our ‘warm to the touch’ handrail, Glass Rail is the perfect solution for outdoors, providing a robust & practical glass balustrade option.
The frameless glass balustrades can be easily installed and give an elegant look. This makes it ideal for a multitude of applications in commercial, public, or private developments.

GLASS BALUSTRADE SPECIFICATIONS:
- Handrail: – Stainless steel, aluminium, brass, PVC sleeved fitted to either the top or side of the glass
- Balusters (posts): NONE required
- Glass panels: – Toughened or laminated glass in a range of thickness’ depending on the application. 12mm, 15mm 19mm or 25mm
- Base Fittings: – steel clamping plates, profiled stainless steel clamping plates, stainless steel disc clamping or aluminium channel section.

Glass Rail is high quality and with our professional installation it’s not only quick but also easy to install no matter the weather. Balustrades are also a requirement for drops of over 600m: with toughened glass panels, and varying glass thicknesses it makes glass balustrades safe and a great option for keeping the beautiful views around you.

Handrail Options:
We have a variety of handrail options, from stainless steel, aluminium, PVC, wood, and brass. Depending on the application, location, and weather the balustrade is exposed to, it will influence the best handrail to be used.
In cold outdoor climates, our Stargard handrail is perfect, as the insulated PVC hand railing provides a ‘warm to the touch’ feel, stopping the hesitation of use.
Our Citadel range is typically used indoors, as the brass handrails provide a traditional and prestigious feel.
Lastly, our Stronghold range is suitable for any professional environment indoors; the stainless steel handrails match with a wide variety of interiors and provide a clean and professional feel. Our regular stainless steel handrails can be either circular or oval and are attached to the glass by stainless steel channels.
Clamping Discs:
Glassrail stainless steel clamping discs are suitable for internal or external applications and can be used with 12mm, 15mm, 19mm or 25mm thick toughened glass. The discs are spaced to ensure even distribution of the design load.
Spacer discs are placed behind where appropriate to allow the glass to be positioned away from the edge of the stair allowing for easy cleaning, The lower edge of the glass can be sandblasted if required as a feature or to hide the edge of the stair.
